The user experience (UX) of utilising the iTAFE PLE is completely different from current online experiences for Hunter TAFE Customers and Hunter TAFE Staff.

The learner experience/process is documented here and in addition, learners are also offered free weekly training sessions on using technologies to present evidence of their learning.

Capability building is of paramount importance to the project. Hunter TAFE staff participants from the Digital Learning Project attend customised training that has been mapped to TAE Diploma units. Participants are also offered "just in time" mentoring and coaching sessions, and other various aspects of support.

We are currently in the deployment phase of the project with all courses articulated on the Project Overview now fully underway. On the home page of this wiki you can watch an interview with an iTAFE Learner and Teacher to gain a perspective of the project and how it is progressing.

The participants have formed a community of practice (CoP) and you are invited to view their collaboration space where sharing of learning, experiences, stories and issues occurs:

  • Session summaries of our weekly CoP meetings
  • Issues and solutions
  • Tips and tricks
  • Good news stories
  • Discussions
